By entering the Barbie competition, all participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
In order to be eligible to enter the competition, a participant:
must be at least 18 years old and residing in the Republic of South Africa; and
a member of the Clicks Customer Loyalty Programme (“Clicks ClubCard Programme”).
Must have purchased Barbie DVD product(s) in a single transaction at a Musica store within Republic of South Africa to the value of R100 or more and swipe Clicks ClubCard during the purchase.
To be eligible to win a double movie ticket, customers must reside within Cape Town or Johannesburg.
All participants who meet the eligibility requirements set out above will be automatically entered into the competition.
The following persons and entities are not eligible to participate in the competition:
directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants to Clicks Group Limited, its subsidiaries, divisions and/or associated companies (“Clicks”) or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Clicks, and their spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners;
directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants to the advertising and promotion agencies of Clicks and their spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners; and
directors, members, partners, employees, agents of or consultants to Next Entertainment or New Clicks South Africa PTY LTD trading as Musica or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Next Entertainment or New Clicks South Africa PTY LTD trading as Musica and their spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners.
The competition commences on 26 December 2014 and closes on 11 January 2015.
Twenty three (23) winners will be drawn by random selection from all eligible entries on 13 January 2015. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence in this regard will be entered into.
The prizes for the competition are as follows:
Three Barbie hampers, valued at approximately R1200 each.
Ten double tickets to the Johannesburg premier of Barbie in Princess Power film, valued at approximately R120 each. The premier will be hosted by Monte Casino on the 18 January 2015.
Ten double tickets to a Cape Town viewing of Barbie in the Princess Power film between the 23 January 2015 and 06 February 2015, valued at approximately R120 each.
Transportation to and from the selected venue in selected area is not included in the prize; the prize winner will not be able to choose which prize best suits him/her. The winner will have one working day to confirm if they will accept the prize. If the prize winner does not accept the prize and/or is not able to redeem the prize, the prize will be awarded to the next qualifying customer.
The prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or for any other item. If, for any reason, Next Entertainment or New Clicks South Africa PTY LTD trading as Musica cannot provide any of the prizes, Next Entertainment or New Clicks South Africa PTY LTD trading as Musica will award an alternative prize of a similar value.
Each of the winners will be required to provide Clicks and/or Next Entertainment and/or New Clicks South Africa PTY LTD trading as Musica with proof of identification in the form of a copy of his/her identity document, passport or South African driver’s licence.
Notification and delivery of prizes:
Each of the winner’s contact details will be obtained from the Clicks ClubCard Programme database. Each winner will be informed telephonically and/or by e-mail within 1 working day after his/her name has been drawn, that he/she has won the prize.
Clicks reserves the right to disqualify a winner if he/she does not respond to the telephone call and/or e-mail or notification by registered mail within 1 working day of being contacted or the notification being despatched, indicating that he/she accepts the prize. In such event, Clicks will be entitled to select another winner immediately thereafter.
If a winner cannot accept a prize for any reason, that winner will forfeit his/her prize and another winner will be selected. In order to claim his/her prize, a winner may contact the Clicks Call Centre on 0860 254 257.
The three Barbie hampers will be sent to each winner via courier service within 30 days of winner being notified. The ten Johannesburg double ticket winners will need to go to the reception desk at the Monte Casino on 18 January 2015, a guest list will be available. Please bring along RSA ID book for validation on the guest list. The ten Cape Town double ticket winners will have their tickets delivered to them via courier service within 5 working days of being notified and deemed the winner.
The winners’ names will be published on the official Clicks’ website (www.clicks.co.za), the official New Clicks South Africa PTY LTD trading as Musica website (www.musica.co.za), the official New Clicks South Africa PTY LTD trading as Musica Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Musicasouthafrica), and the official New Clicks South Africa PTY LTD trading as Musica Twitter account, (www.twitter.com/Musica_Africa).
Unless the winner specifically states otherwise, each winner agrees to participate in all promotional activity and hereby consents to Clicks and Next Entertainment or New Clicks South Africa PTY LTD trading as Musica using his/her name, images and/or voice in any promotional material for the purpose of promoting the competition. No compensation will be payable for such use. The winner will have the right to withdraw his/her consent for the use of his/her name, images and/or voice prior to the use thereof by Clicks and/ or Next Entertainment or New Clicks South Africa PTY LTD trading as Musica in any promotional activity.
A copy of these terms and conditions will be available on the official Clicks’ website (www.clicks.co.za) from 26 December 2014 until 11 January 2015.
By participating in the Competition, YOU agree, SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW, THAT NEITHER CLICKS NOR NEXT ENTERTAINMENT OR NEW CLICKS SOUTH AFRICA pTY LTD TRADING AS MUSICA NOR any OF THEIR RESPECTIVE advertising agencies WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY losses, damages, COSTS OR claims in connection with the Competition or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.
